GULF
COAST TIMES Owner and Design Director, Abdiel Hernandez launched
the paper with the purpose of providing Southwest Florida with a publication
designed in a creative and funky style. Recently, Abdiel comes from
a seven year career in television production. Prior to his time in
television, his creativity led him to a successful ten year profession
as an artist and designer for advertising and graphic design firms.
GULF COAST TIMES editor, Yohana de la Torre returns
to the media from a job as the Communications Specialist within the
US government. Prior to working in the nation’s capital, Yohana
was a reporter for a seasonal sports show on Miami's local NBC affiliate,
as well as a column writer for the Pulitzer Prize winning newspaper,
The Miami Herald. Her career in television began in 1999 working for
a daily news magazine show on the leading Hispanic Network.
