It’s been
a very exciting year for box offices this summer and now we need to
look forward to the Fall movie season. Here’s a sneak peek of
a few films that you should look out for.

Film: Eagle
Eye
Release Date: September 26, 2008
Directed by: DJ Caruso
Starring: Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Billy Bob Thorton
I’m sure many of you have seen the previews of this film numerous
times. Hollywood’s new “bad-boy” Shia LaBeouf plays
a man who becomes unintentionally involved in a dangerous plot involving
a political assassination orchestrated by a mysterious woman who communicates
with LaBeouf’s character over the phone. As the film progresses,
it’s LaBeouf’s character that is fighting to save his own
life. This is the action thriller many have been buzzing about, and
lately most things LaBeouf is involved with are pure gold, at least
when it comes to racking it in at the box office (i.e. Transformers,
Indiana Jones, Wanted).

Film:
Body of Lies
Release Date: October 10, 2008
Directed by: Ridley Scott
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe
There’s
pure excitement every time Ridley Scott comes out with a new film. The
last few have been golden (previous releases include: Gladiator, American
Gangster)! The earlier film paired the always wonderful Russell Crowe
and Denzel Washington. This time, it goes up a notch— Russell
Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio (arguably, two of the best contemporary
actors today). The film has been renamed a few times while it’s
been under production, but it’s basically a CIA thriller about
agents tracking a terrorist in Jordan. We don’t know much about
the film yet, but the combination of Scott, Crowe and DiCaprio promises
to deliver nothing short of excellence.

Film:
007: Quantum of Solace
Release Date: November 7, 2008
Directed by: Marc Foster
Starring: Daniel Craig, Dame Judi Dench, Mathieu Amalric
The
follow up to the great Casino Royale, “Quantum of Solace”
sets out on a new mission: to avenge the death of his love interest,
Vesper. The investigation leads him to Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric),
a ruthless business man who’s been known to have a hand in the
mysterious group Quantum. James Bond flicks have taken a serious turn,
in what has been a recent trend in Hollywood. And it works! This 007
is stronger, rougher and not afraid to play dirty. He’s still
classy, but not as cheesy. If Casino Royale is any indication of what
we can expect from Daniel Craig’s version of James Bond, the “Quantum
of Solace” promises to be a captivating, violent, action packed
thriller, filmed in the most exotic locations.
